Brand Introduction
The full name of SKF is "Svenska Kullager Fabriken", which is transliterated as "SKF" in Chinese; SKF Group is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden and is a leader in bearing technology and manufacturing. Sven Wingquist invented double row automatic centering ball bearings in 1905, and then founded Svenska Kullargerfabriken Swedish Ball Bearing Manufacturing Company, abbreviated as SKF, in 1907. Its business covers 130 countries around the world, producing over 500 million bearings annually, and its sales network covers the world. Currently, we have 200 branches, 80 manufacturing plants, 41000 employees, and 8000 agents and distributors. SKF also produces and sells bearing steel and other high-quality special steel. In addition, SKF Group continues to be committed to research and development in the bearing industry, with an average of one new patent appearing every two days. Innovation and R&D
The Global Technology Center · China was established in Shanghai in May 2010, with a focus on product development to further expand the network coverage of SKF's global technology research and development centers and laboratories. The goal of this center is to fully promote international and regional development, making innovation and technological knowledge more relevant to Chinese customers. The establishment of SKF Global Technology Center in China not only facilitates us to meet the needs of local customers, but also helps us seize market opportunities.
As an important component of the global network of SKF Technology Centers, SKF Global Technology Center (China) relies on outstanding knowledge talents, advanced equipment, and SKF's century long industry experience to provide customers with advanced technical knowledge and analysis results for design and production, continuously transmitting SKF's engineering knowledge. Currently, 80% of the functions of the center will serve the local market in China, and the remaining 20% of resources will support SKF Group's global projects.
By 2015, SKF Global Technology Center (China) will develop into a knowledge center with approximately 400 highly knowledgeable talent reserves, covering an area of 3000-5000 square meters. Its functions will also expand to product research and development, engineering services, testing centers, usage evaluations, global metallurgical chemistry laboratories, and manufacturing process research and support. This will ensure that we can continuously develop value-added solutions based on customer current needs and future trends, while continuously enriching excellent engineering knowledge and promoting SKF's development in the Chinese and Northeast Asian markets. SKF Group focuses on specific, continuous, and process oriented engineering development worldwide. The Global Technology Center (China) will showcase SKF's strong knowledge and technical capabilities to Chinese customers, distributors, and employees to support the development of the group.
